We all are aware that Season 4 was a smash hit (to us anyway) and enjoyed meeting and promoting the show. Not only did it bring the entire world together for a brief time in harmony, it allowed us to express our love and support for Fringe and it's entire team (producers, sponsors, cast members, characters and the crew that works behind the scenes).
Using the hashtag tweeting each week with beautiful artwork submissions from members here, we all connected and drew interest to the show. I continue to see posts from people who had never seen the show and said that they were going back to the beginning to see it in it's entirety. In other words, we helped people discover a show that deserved more attention. Ultimately, we and FOX made news about the use of hashtags to promote shows and helped in some small way to bring us together again this fall for a Season 5.
In the mean time, we are all on hiatus, waiting for Season 5 to begin - in the fall. Does that mean that we cannot come together on Fringe Fridays and be together for our usual hook up? Does that mean that we should sit back quietly and just wait?
I propose that we continue together, just as though an episode was about to start and Fringe out! That we continue the use of the hashtag every week until the fall season, continue to promote the show, and potentially draw interest of friends who have never seen the show. We can sit alone and throw out a tweet that we miss watching or we can continue to join as a community to show our support & continue to be friends who are united in our love of Fringe.
