Really 3 Universes? I'm wondering...

When Peter activated the machine (end of Season 3), did he actually jump into another alternative universe? Or is this "his" universe fiddled with by September or the machine - just erasing him? How could Olivia in this universe have any "memories" of Peter and know so much? I don't think the Cortexifan is the only reason. Maybe Peter's lingering, haunting of Walter and Olivia was because this really is Peter's timeline. Just saying...

I think so as well.They (Observers) erased him,or so they thought,creating a new timeline where both Peter's died. Him coming back is slowly unraveling the new time line..

OMG! Just finished 4:15 and can not believe that I got this right! So happy that Peter is home, no matter how he got there. But my 'wild' speculation was actually the answer? Amazed, stunned & so happy for Peter & Olivia. Welcome home Peter!
